I used to cycle down the docks to work. Some of the sights you would see then were funny. I have a picture in my mind of a group of Lascars - now Laskas are sailors from the East Indies. They would walk awkwardly because they weren't used to wearing shoes and they would walk in a line. I remember two of them were carrying a wardrobe on their heads to go to the ship and the other one was knitting a long Doctor Who scarf as he was walking along.
