John Sennet worked in Tremorfa Steelworks. He has recently been made redundant which has given him more time to study local history.
The Blackbridge footbridge which separates Adamsdown from Splott is said to be haunted by a devil in the shape of a black dog. I have not heard of any stories about it. The railway lines when opened in 1850 split the Adamsdown farm with the farmer living on one side in the Adamsdown area and the farm in the now Splott area. His only means of crossing were via a wooden footbridge known as the red bridge.
