Fran Brimble was a punk in Cardiff. She grew up and went to school in the Roath area.
There was a crowd of people that used to hang out in the Lexington on Queen Street. I preferred the old men's pubs. There was kind of a divide between the posers who were out to be seen and wore all really expensive bondage gear that they bought from this shop called PARADISE GARAGE, which was up by the Prince of Wales. That modelled itself on Malcolm Maclaren's SEX shop in London. So you would have the people that made their own clothes and cut things up with scissors were a little bit wary of the people that went into Paradise Garage and spent £20 on a pair of trousers.
