Freddy Manny was born down the docks and tells of his many adventures around the area.

There were two people down the bay that were legends in their own time, Victor Parker, the Jazz Guitarist he used to play in the dance bands in London. He hands like pork Sausage but when he played guitar it looked like he was playing around with silk. He used to play down the Quebec- that was a well-known spot. That is where the Old Custom House used to be. Right next door to the Custom House used to be the Quebec that used to be a Mecca for Jazz. Everyone would go there on a Sunday afternoon to listen to the sessions. In the early days there was also Morris Ali who played the accordion and Parker would be on the guitar. They would also play down the old Free Masons. It used to be amazing, if you weren't moving within 5 minuets you were either paralysed or dead.
