Oh and there was this other amazing pub, It was called the New Sea Lock and it was run by these amazing women one of whom had tattooed earlobes with stars. They would only serve locals. Sometimes it was open all night. The curtains were always drawn and you would have to bang on the door to be let in. There was always this purple and gold tinsel around the top of the room. They would play Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey. I remember sitting in there In the Dexy's Midnight Runners era and I had my black hat, donkey jacket and black Doctor Martens on and these old seamen were laughing, they said you look more like a seaman than we do.
