From when I was 9 I started swimming, I swam for Cardiff and now I am the Swimming Development Officer for Cardiff. Its only because we were poor and I wanted a bath!
Churchill Way, was two different streets then. One day they turned up and put these brick things in the middle, They were flowerbeds. All the parents then put their hats and coats on, even though it was only two minutes away, to go and walk up to see them because they didn't believe that there was flowers in the road. It was a big, big thing to see this, before that there was nothing. That is when it changed to Churchill Road.
Churchill road is one road now, in two parts but years ago it was two separate roads. Then they changed it all to Churchill Way.
